To avoid duplication of services, the CDC will encourage collaboration and alliances among the varied organizations providing support services to refugees. CDC programs will include

Assistance to Newcomers
The CDC will offer a variety of educational, social, and support services to help newcomers adjust to their new life.
English Language /Translation services
Legal services /Employment services
These will include orientation, job-search skills, career development counseling and job placement, as well as specific skills upgrading and certificate programs (ex. computer training).
Preventive health services
These will combine health promotion and health education with healthcare services, focusing on community outreach, cross-cultural training, disease prevention and control.
Cultural promotion/ Advocacy
The
CDC will facilitate the acculturation process through interaction by introducing newcomers to the American culture and vice-versa.
The cross-cultural Interaction program
This program will focus on enhancing orientation for newcomers and will feature the hosting of various events that will bring newcomers and their neighbors together.
Collection of Educational/Cultural Materials
This program will collect donated and used equipment , books and educational materials, and then distribute them to institutions, hospitals and schools.
